House Church

The Tucson True Light Church Home Church seeks to foster emotional healing and spiritual restoration, guiding members toward a vibrant, New Testament-inspired community. By nurturing love, trust, and mutual support, we aim to create a family-like environment where all members grow in faith, serve joyfully, and share the transformative power of God’s love with unbelievers.

Below are the core principles and practices that shape our vision and mission.

Vision

To build a house church that reflects the love, joy, and

unity of the early church, where members experience

emotional healing, spiritual growth, and a shared

commitment to outreach, inspiring both believers and

unbelievers to encounter God’s grace.

Mission

To create a nurturing, prayer-centered community that

supports each member’s emotional and spiritual

journey, encourages co-ministry, and actively reaches

out to unbelievers with a welcoming, family-like

atmosphere.

Core Practices

1. Foster Emotional Connection:

Touch the heart of each member by sharing life experiences and celebrating answered prayers, creating a space for vulnerability and encouragement.

2. Acknowledge Struggles with Compassion:

Recognize each member’s challenges to ensure no one feels overlooked or discouraged, promoting a culture of empathy and support.

3. Cultivate Joyful Dedication:

Encourage members to serve out of love for God, fostering joy and support for the shepherd/shepherdess, rather than guilt or obligation.

4. Focus on Affirmation:

Celebrate each member’s strengths and contributions, emphasizing praise over criticism to build confidence and unity.

5. Reject Comparison and Competition:

Create an environment free from rivalry, where each member’s unique gifts are valued and celebrated.

6. Prioritize Prayer as the Foundation:

Recognize that the primary ministry of house church leaders is prayer, trusting in God’s power to sustain and guide. Leaders should be trustworthy and reliable, finding inspiration even in small prayers and answers.

7. Build a Trusting and Restorative Community:

Ensure the house church is a safe space where members trust one another, confirm answered prayers, and support weary leaders in their restoration.

8. Stay Anchored in Purpose:

Regularly remind members of the core mission of the TTLC house church to prevent spiritual dryness and burnout among shepherds and members.

9. Create an Inviting Atmosphere:

Build a house church that unbelievers are eager to join, characterized by family-like love, laughter, inspiration, and a welcoming environment where children also thrive.

10. Encourage Co-Ministry:

Inspire all members to actively participate in outreach and service, fostering spiritual maturity and preventing the shepherd from bearing the burden alone.

11. Reject Unhealthy Dynamics:

Firmly oppose any toxic or unhealthy church cultures that hinder spiritual growth or unity.

12. Prevent Burnout Through Collaboration:

Support shepherds by appointing assistant leaders and collectively engaging in outreach to unbelievers, ensuring sustainability and shared responsibility.

By living out these principles, the TTLC Home Church aims to be a beacon of God’s love, a place of healing and restoration, and a community that draws others into a transformative relationship with Christ.
